TOMATO SCRUB
Let’s turn tomato into invigorating scrub:
You need:
1 ripe organic tomato
1 Tbs fine granulated sugar
- Cut slice of tomato from stem side, about ¼ of inch thick or a bit more
- Place sugar on a small plate and flatten it with spoon.
- Grab a tomato (using stem if it has one) and dip in a sugar, evenly coating it.
- Take that “natures cleansing pad” and evenly exfoliate in circular motion all over skin,
nose and forehead too. - Once you have it all evenly covered, leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse off.
- Apply moisturizer while skin is still damp.
*It would be easier to use stem as a gripper, but you can hold on to it nicely without.
What do to with the rest of tomato? EAT IT! Just like that or as a part of your salad.
Note:
Harvard school in a study for Public Health reported tomatos as having properties to reduce chance of cancer, diabetes, even heart attack.
It is because of it’s Lycopene content, that bright red pigment that act like a sunscreen, protecting skin from UV rays.
Tomato is high in anti-oxidants and has molecule structure easily absorbed by the skin as an opposite of many products that cannot accomplish that regardless what cosmetic company claim is and its waste of money to purchase those.
Anti-oxidants combat free radicals, which are formed as products when oxygen is used by the body. They are highly active chemicals that can damage structure in living cells. But then skin also suffers additional damage from sunlight, pollution, temperature, etc.. Topical anti-oxidant provides protection against environmental damage to skin and slowing down the damage of aging skin.
