Why and How to:
Scalp muscles could be very tense so skin sometimes is almost immovable. That obviously is causing blood restriction and flow of nutrients into hair follicles. So our goal is to use a regular scalp massages to achieve easy movement of scalp over the skull bones.

* She says that ideally you should use borage oil (also known as starflower oil) for the massage or wheatgerm oil. I personally use also jojoba oil, very beneficial for hair health. (All these are easily washable out.) This could be routine before washing your hair, but you could massage your scalp also without oil at any time.
* If using oil, part the hair in several places on the scalp using a wide-toothed comb. Break open 5-6 capsules of oil or use dropper when using liquid oil and apply along partings.
* Lean forward to boost circulation.
* Start massaging temples with bunched up fingers for about a minute to release the tension there.
* Then place pads of the fingers of each hand on the front of your hair just behind the hairline, so that your little fingers are almost touching. Massage in strong circular movements. You should be moving the scalp, don’t let your fingers skim over the surface. Do it for about another minute.
* Move your fingers back an inch and repeat. Do this until you reach the crown and continue until you reach the back of the head down to the nape. Use all of your fingers and thumbs, applying even pressure.
* In all spend on this full 3-5 minutes. If leaning forward might become uncomfortable, simply do it in sitting position, but keep your shoulders relaxed.
* Madame Greyl suggests to do scalp massage three times a week, claiming she has seen amazing improvements in hair health among women who pay attention to their scalps in this way.
