These glorious insults are from an era before the English language got boiled
down to 4-letter words and shrill exchanges.
The exchange between Churchill & Lady Astor:
She said, “If you were my husband I’d give you poison.”

I always loved class and wit and miss it nowadays. But it certainly belongs into category “beauty”
Beauty of language and expression. And it is very sad when beautifully dressed woman so often
commits “intellectual suicide” when she opens her mouth. Just look at celebrities… better leave
that without comment.
